Essential Job Functions:

  1. Participates in morning production meetings. Follows all safety rules.
  2. Loads and unloads trucks in the receiving/lamination area.
  3. Accurately pulls correct materials including specific counts needed for production.
  4. Maintains record count of each material moved from one location to another, product description and number moved.
  5. Ensures Forklift placed on the charger every evening for start of the next day.
  6. Completes daily forklift check sheet.
  7. Responsible for operating forklift in safe manner, always following safety rules including safety horn beeps, seat belts, no headphones, safe mph.
  8. Reports any issues as to the operation of the forklift to Maintenance immediately.
  9. Keeps forklift license certification current and license while on forklift.
  10. Maintains a manufacturing area free from debris and dirt, and readies or puts away tools as assigned. Empties hoppers and trash regularly, sheet metal in sheet dumpster.
  11. Assists in loading/unloading the final assembly line and trucks when directed by a supervisor. Utilizing team lifting techniques when necessary.
  12. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions.
  • Flexible, able, and willing to work in a variety of roles.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Working knowledge of receiving procedures
  • Ability to operate various types of equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, forklifts.

 

Education & Experience:

  • Previous production and warehouse experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience driving forklifts, utilizing pallet jacks, and hand trucks. 

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods standing and walking.
  • Must be able to lift to 30- 60 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with a manufacturing environment.
