Position Summary: We are seeking entry-level Cabinet Builders to learn wood door fabrication for our cabinet manufacturing facility. This role offers hands-on training in door assembly and woodworking techniques. You'll work as part of a team to build quality cabinet doors while developing valuable trade skills.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist with building cabinet doors in various styles
- Learn to operate door-making equipment safely
- Cut and prepare door components to exact sizes
- Assemble doors ensuring proper fit and alignment
- Install hinges and prepare doors for hardware
- Sand and prepare doors for finishing
- Perform basic quality checks on completed doors
- Follow instructions from lead builders and supervisors
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required safety equipment
Required Qualifications:
Experience:
- No experience required - will train!
- Background in construction, woodworking, or manufacturing is helpful but not required
- Must be willing to learn and follow instructions
Skills & Knowledge:
- Basic math skills (measuring and fractions helpful)
- Ability to use hand and power tools (or willingness to learn)
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Reliable and punctual
- Team player with positive attitude
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Stand for extended periods (8+ hours)
- Perform repetitive tasks
- Work in environments with dust and noise
- Wear appropriate safety equipment including hearing and eye protection
