Material Handler-Forklift

Cosmo Cabinets is expanding production and is in need of experienced, reliable material handlers who have a good work history.  Our material handlers must be able to move heavy materials from the production line and receiving area to production lines, both with equipment and manually. Have a good work ethic and culture fit with our company! Responsibilities:

  • Move finished goods from the assembly line to dedicated storage area or staging for shipment
  • Pull raw materials or stored products and delivers to staging area via pallet jacks or forklift.
  • Load and unload shipments in an organized and safe manner
  • Assist with scanning, paperwork when necessary. 
  • Ensures forklift procedures are followed. 
  • Helps maintain a manufacturing area free from debris and dirt. 

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Good verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions.
  • Flexible, able and willing to work in a variety of roles.
  • Pay attention to details
  • Working knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures
  • Ability to operate various types of equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, forklifts

Physical Requirements: 

  • Prolonged periods standing and walking.
  • Must be able to lift 30 -60 pounds at times. Team lifting when necessary. 
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with manufacturing environments.

Education and Experience:

  • Previous production and warehouse experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
